~~   N E W S   ~~ Second Reading of Vallco Related Ordinances Press Release on Referendum Brown Act Violation? ~~   E V E N T S   ~~  Cupertino Council Candidate Forum by LWV Liang and Jon, meet and greet ~    N E W S   ~ Second Reading of Vallco Related Ordinances at October 2nd City Council Meeting The second reading and enactment of ordinances of Vallco Specific Plan will be included in October 2nd council meeting. The meeting will start at 6:45pm. Vallco project will be discussed in item 13. Please refer to the meeting agenda page for more details. ~    N E W S   ~ Press Release on Referendum On September 24th, Better Cupertino volunteers and supporters held a press conference on Referendum. This referendum is to repeal the recently passed VSP Tier 2 plan. The full press release (中文版) is posted on Better Cupertino website. Please visit Better Cupertino Library Booth on weekend (10am-6pm, Sat.&Sun.) and learn the progress. We will update the referendum status on our website, too. We need more supporters to donate and volunteer to make the referendum successful. Thank you! ~    N E W S    ~ Potential Brown Act Violations? In a "NO to referendum" gathering at Hong Fu restaurant on September 24th, three council members who voted "Yes" on the Vallco Tier 2 plan appeared and talked about the voting process in front of a group of their friends. It may cause potential Brown Act Violations. A formal complaint letter was already sent to the District Attorney office. All three candidates supported by the Chamber of Commerce Hung Wei Savita Vaidhyanathan Orrin Mahoney attended the meeting and showed their strong support to current "community friendly" Vallco plan (The VSP Tier 2 Plan). Do you really believe the aggressive Vallco Tier2 plan is the BEST?
